Using social media to connect rural Alaskans with healthy outcomes

With many Southeast Alaskans living in remote or hard-to-reach areas, one of the most effective ways for a rural healthcare system to reach its target audience is online, particularly by engaging with residents on popular social media platforms and activating them to boost health outcomes.

The Challenge

In order to build its reputation as the leading healthcare provider in southeast Alaska, SEARHC needed a way to consistently and continuously establish a position as a thought leader and trusted provider in the region. Social media was an essential tool to make this happen.

Utilizing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn as primary social media platforms, we needed to develop a social media strategy for SEARHC to communicate valuable information to its audience timely and efficiently.
